Quick Connector Lifting Yokes

Manufacturers of wind turbine generators are engaged in a challenging race to increase the efficiency of their machines and reduce the cost per kWh. This results in WTG’s becoming ever larger and heavier. Special offshore installation vessels are designed to facilitate the development of new wind farms.

To make the vessels more versatile smart solutions have been developed to allow cranes to efficiently change between installation equipment.

The quick connector lifting yokes have been designed as cost effective, easy to manufacture lifting devices with a high capacity up to 5000 ton. Their quick connector interface maximizes the operating time of the crane.

To prove the structural integrity a special test setup has been developed allowing the yokes to be tested up to a proof load of 6000 ton prior to their first job.
